Reference from the ‘Bar Association’, privilege from the Ministry: The judiciary is supposedly independent

All eyes are on the judiciary amid scandals ranging from fund embezzlement to corruption. Gökhan Ağdemir, President of the Ankara No. 2 Bar Association, stated that 70 lawyers had become judges and prosecutors through his ‘references’. These crises will not end until this order is changed.
