Bir Ayet: İçinizden Allah’ın lutfuna ve ahiret gününe umut bağlayanlar, Allah’ı çokça ananlar için hiç şüphe yok ki, Resûlullah’ta güzel bir örneklik vardır. (Ahzâb, 33/21)
Buhârî, 20 Temmuz 810’da Buhara’da doğdu. Babası İsmail, hadis âlimlerinden ders almıştı. Babası, Buhârî çocukken vefat etti ve babasının hadisle alakalı kitapları Buhârî’ye kaldı. Buhârî, on yaşında hadis öğrenmeye başladı ve genç yaşta üstün hafızasıyla dikkat çekti.
