The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) announced the labour input index for the second quarter of the year. When the indices of the last 2 years are considered together with industrial production, production per hour increased by 11.06 per cent, whilst the increase in real purchasing power remained at 6.57 per cent.
Melisa Ay Whilst production in the industry increased, the equivalent of this increase was not reflected in the worker's wages to the same extent. The Labour Input Index data announced yesterday by TÜİK revealed the worker's loss when evaluated alongside industrial production.
